Tortilla wraps,
Monday 7 Feb

Lunch at home

OK, I'm a pathetic cook. But I actually really enjoyed my lunch of tortilla wrap, Linda McCartney sausages, salad, extra mature Canadian cheddar and tomato soup.

Bella Italia, Brighton,
Tuesday 1 Feb

Free meal courtesy of hospital radio draw.

Obviously, we picked the most expensive items on the menu...

To start, Powerful Pierre chose the meat platter with thin bits of bread, and for main, the lamb shank with herb mash. He was most pleased, but then, he does love mash, and indeed, lamb.

s chose the 'king' prawns (they were more like 'subject' prawns) with pseudo bruschetta to start (it was more like the end of a loaf of white bread toasted with a spittle of tomato). For main, she had the chicken stuffed with mascarpone and herbs with roasted vegetables and wedgy new potatoes. This was all was happily washed down with a dash of peenot gregeoooo and awkward conversation pretending to not know each others' names. Of course. It's a bit of a 'first date' restaurant. And it was rather empty (not surprising given that it was a Tuesday night in February)...
